Anticipating eventual retirement from an office job, I was looking to find an activity which engages my latent artistic talents and would provide personal enjoyment and growth for the next phase of my life.  In 2008 I took a stained glass class from Tony Glander, a noted glass artist in Maryland.  Although the stained glass class whetted my appetite to learn about glass art, it was my introduction to fused glass which truly inspired me.

My work has developed in complexity and vision as I have explored the use of frit, cut glass, cast glass and more recently powdered glass in a gel solution; fully fused glass molded into bowls and plates, and three-dimensional artifacts.

As my skills have developed I have enjoyed success in this field, selling individual pieces, receiving commissions, and winning awards from local arts shows. I was honored to receive the James C. Whitney Memorial Scholarship from the American Glass Guild (AGG) in May 2015, enabling me to attend the AGG annual conference and to be inspired by the great glass artists of our time.

I look forward to expanding my repertoire, and to engaging with other artists and collectors as you browse these pages.
